Photography level and what to expect

As a workshop leader with over 10 years of experience and more than 450 workshops delivered, my goal is to provide a perfect experience for every attendee. I am first aid qualified (FREC3) to ensure your maximum safety. Understanding that different events require different skill sets, I am committed to helping you quickly become comfortable with your camera's basic settings so we can delve into more advanced photography techniques.

To ensure you book the right experience for your needs, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions before booking. I am always happy to discuss and clarify any details with you.

The types of events I run are listed below:

Workshops - These are designed for individuals of all skill levels and provide ample instruction for everyone. Please note that these are a group workshop, so time will be divided fairly among all participants, typically between 5-6 attendees. A basic understanding of shutter speed, ISO, and aperture will be beneficial but not essential, but at the same time the amount of learning weighted against the lowest cost makes these a great way to progress with your photography skillset

Tours / Trips / Meetups / Experiences - These are designed to offer photographers of all abilities affordable and enjoyable opportunities to capture amazing moments, with organisation provided by me. There can be limited instruction at time as we are all collectively photographing the location we visit, but support will always be available from me and the rest of the group if needed. Keep in mind that everyone, including myself, will be there primarily to take photographs and have fun as a group. A basic understanding of shutter speed, ISO, and aperture will be beneficial. Please do ask me if you have any questions.

One-on-One Sessions - This time is dedicated solely to you, or to you and another person if you choose that option. These sessions are typically the best way to learn the basics or to focus on more specialized skills in a manner that suits your needs.

Bookings

Your booking is confirmed once full payment or deposit has been received through the checkout system or your deposit has been paid and confirmed by Dibs Photography.

You will receive an email 2-3 days before the workshop start date to confirm the starting location, as I need to finalise and adjust the finer details. Please check your spam folder, as sometimes my initial email may end up there.

I am happy for you to pay a small deposit to reserve your space on one of my workshops or trips, please send me an email or DM if you wish to do this.

Cancellations

You will receive a full refund if you cancel up to 4 weeks before the event.

If you cancel within 4 to 2 weeks before the workshop start date, you will receive a 50% refund, or a full refund if I can fill your spot. If you cancel within 2 weeks of the workshop start date, you will only receive a refund if I can fill your spot with another paying customer.

I reserve the right to cancel the workshop due to adverse weather or low ticket sales. In this case, you will be offered a full refund or the option to book for the rescheduled date. I cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred for travel, accommodation, or loss of annual leave if you have booked holiday from work.
